Profound Autism Alliance Connecticut Advocacy

Now more than ever, advocacy is needed to ensure that autistic people who require lifetime/round-the-clock care are seen, heard, and supported in meaningful ways.

This is what positive advocacy looks like.

HB 5558 has passed both the Connecticut House and Senate. (You can read the bill here.)

Congratulations to our PAA Connecticut advocates—your steady, thoughtful advocacy made this progress possible.

This legislation strengthens transparency and accountability in abuse and neglect investigations and ensures families can access critical information.

This didn’t happen by accident. It happened because advocates showed up, stayed engaged, and worked constructively to move solutions forward.
